Harlequin Special Releases

I’ve written about authors who write for the Harlequin American Romance line and so I have recently won a contest where I won two autographed books by one of my favorite Harlequin American Romance authors. I love to read the Harlequin American Romance line of books and Kara Lennox is one of the authors that I love reading from that line of books. I love her books even though I’ve only be able to read and buy a couple of her most recent releases. I picked out two of her older out of print novels because they sounded interesting and I’ve never had the opportunity to read them.
Today I’ll be reviewing A Second Chance the second autographed book I picked out by Kara Lennox. I picked it out because the blurb on her website really captured my attention and once I started reading it I knew I made the right choice. This book is apart of a series that is written by many authors and it is book 11 of the Hotel Marchance series, which I didn’t know about until I found this book on her website. I haven’t read the entire series which I hate because I feel that reading a series in the middle or towards the end isn’t done but what can I do now. The heroine Loretta Castille is a single mom who runs a bread bakery and her daughter Zara is a very smart and beautiful little girl. The hero Luc Carter is not what he seems on the outside to Loretta because he has a secret that she just might never get over. Luc Carter made a big mistake in his past that almost ruined the lives of the family he never really knew about.
Luc and Loretta have a difficult courtship because Loretta has a past experience with an criminal of a husband and doens’t think that taking up with another man isn’t for her. I think that Luc an Loretta are a very good match and Zara and Luc are so good together because they are comfortable with each other. I enjoyed the book very much and like I said I’m sorry that I didn’t know about the Hotel Marchance series because I would have loved to have read about the other members of Luc’s family. Some of the books are probably out of print except for her most recent release, so you’ll probably going to have to search used book stores if you want to find the books in this series. Here is the description of the book from the back cover and picture:
A SECOND CHANCE $ 4.99 (250 Pages)

Being honest is easy…telling the truth is hard
The only person who can keep Luc Carter in the little town of Indigo is Loretta Castille. She’s also the reason he has to leave. A single mom and local baker who supplies Luc’s B and B, Loretta has had no-dating policy since discovering the man she married was a criminal. Bending the rules for Luc is a possibility, but not if she finds out he’s on probation.
Luc will soon be a free man and his record expunged, but there’s no pleasure in freedom when it means giving up the woman he loves.

Phoebe Jordan

I'm a part-time aspiring romance novelist, book reviewer and blogger. I've always wanted to travel the world and learn everything I can about other countries. Learning the Italian language is one way of trying to make that dream come true. Traveling will help me with my writing because I'll be learning about the history of the U.S., Latin America, England, Italy, and Ireland, the countries I find so fascinating while reading the romance genre. I read and review romance novels of almost every subgenre along with erotic romance, mystery, sci-fi/fantasy and young adult novels. You can find the reviews at my blogs, Talk About My Favorite Authors and Phoebe Jordan's Reviews. I’ve also started a live podcast show called TAMFA | Phoebe Jordan hosted on Blog Talk Radio. This show is dedicated to everything I love about romance and young adult novels. I love having romance and young adult authors live on my show to be interviewed and showcase their books. I plan to write contemporary romance, romantic suspense, erotic romance, paranormal romance and young adult when I get my writing career started with help from Keta. I'm not sure what genre I'll write to begin with since I love to read so many different romance genres.
