Dirk and Steele Series
Review: “Tiger Eye” is the first book in the Dirk & Steele series. Dirk & Steele is an agency whose employees all have paranormal abilities. The guys working for it are extremely interesting characters who all get their own book in time. Dela is the sister of one of them and is constantly involved in the agency’s work. Once she and Hari are back in the US it turns out that they not only have to deal with the wizard who cursed Hair, but also with another party who threatens to kill Dela. The story has various plot strings it evolves around—Hari’s curse, the threats against Dela’s life and Hari’s and Dela’s blooming love.
The love story is a very good one. At first Hari is less than pleased to be summoned once more. Besides, he is full of hatred for the world in general. Well, who can blame him? Dela is not happy with the fact that a half naked hunk from another time is turning up in her room. However, soon enough they come to enjoy each other’s company thoroughly. There is a lot of chemistry between them and they never stoop to stupid banter and misunderstandings—one of my pet peeves. Dela wants to help Hari to regain his freedom at whatever cost. Hari in turn is resolved to protect Dela from her attackers.
