I have found another amazing new teens series about vampires by Rachel Caine. I went to Rachel Caine’s website to find out more about the Morganville Vampires series and found out that there are 5 books in the series with the 6th book coming out in June of this year. I read the sample chapter of the first book in the series, Glass House, since there weren’t any blurbs and it seemed it would be a good idea to get a feel for what I was going to read before I buy the series. I was instantly hooked after reading the first chapter of the book even though there were a few grammar errors in the chapter posted on the website. I found out that I can reserve a copy of the books through Barnes and Nobles website at my local BN and I was lucky enough when they e-mailed me that they had all 5 books there and I could pick it up the next day.
After reading the first two books, Glass House and The Dead Girls’ Dance, I was really looking forward to reading the third book Midnight Alley because in the previous book it really left me wanted more. So when Claire Danvers learned that her college town was run by vampires, she did what any intelligent, self-preserving freshman would do in her situation. She applied for a transfer and stocked up on garlic with other vampire repellents that she could find. But the transfer is no longer an option because Claire is in too deep but that garlic and other vamp repellents may come in handy. Now Claire has pledged herself to the founder of Morganville named Amelie, the most powerful vampire in town but the protection her contract secures does little to reassure those closest to Claire. Then all of a sudden, people are turning up dead, there is a stalker who resurfaces from the past, and an ancient bloodsucker has extended a chilling invitation for private lessons in his secluded home. To what end, Claire will soon discover—and it will give a terrifying new meaning to night school because she may very well not be leaving this lesson alive.
Each book just makes me want more and I have to say that Claire has really changed so much since I read the first book. It has been so much fun finding out more about Claire’s new friends Shane, Michael and Eve because in such a short time they have been getting really close with one another. They have developed a loyal relationship that I think is going to have some bumps in the future roads they travel if they haven’t taken separate roads along the way. This book has some very thrilling and suspenseful action going on that I really liked because it sure did keep me on my toes. Claire’s relationship with Shane has sure heated up a bit since the last book because they are now more in love with each other after going through so much though they haven’t said it out loud to each other. I also think that Michael and Eve’s budding relationship has finally come out and I’m glad to finally read it because they have had a sparking sexual attraction that I saw from the second book. When I finished this novel I was really looking forward to getting more from the second novel because Rachel Caine does it again and leaves the book with a cliffhanger. I give this book 4 Open Books:

MORGANVILLE IS SUCH A NICE PLACE TO LIVE…
When Claire Danvers learned that her college town was run by vampires, she did what any intelligent, self-preserving freshman would do: She applied for a transfer and stocked up on garlic. The transfer is no longer an option, but that garlic may come in handy.
…AND DIE, IF YOU DON’T MIND THAT SORT OF THING.

I'm a part-time aspiring romance novelist, book reviewer and blogger. I've always wanted to travel the world and learn everything I can about other countries. Learning the Italian language is one way of trying to make that dream come true. Traveling will help me with my writing because I'll be learning about the history of the U.S., Latin America, England, Italy, and Ireland, the countries I find so fascinating while reading the romance genre. I read and review romance novels of almost every subgenre along with erotic romance, mystery, sci-fi/fantasy and young adult novels. You can find the reviews at my blogs, Talk About My Favorite Authors and Phoebe Jordan's Reviews. I’ve also started a live podcast show called TAMFA | Phoebe Jordan hosted on Blog Talk Radio. This show is dedicated to everything I love about romance and young adult novels. I love having romance and young adult authors live on my show to be interviewed and showcase their books. I plan to write contemporary romance, romantic suspense, erotic romance, paranormal romance and young adult when I get my writing career started with help from Keta. I'm not sure what genre I'll write to begin with since I love to read so many different romance genres.
