I have a couple of Lori Foster’s books but this series is fairly new and I love it. I don’t know much about sports especially Supreme Battle Challenge (SBC) Fighters, which I didn’t a clue about what that sport is about and I still don’t know much about them. When I read the first book in this series I at least started to get what SBC Fighters do. Here is my review of the third book called Hard to Handle, which was very interesting to read because it helped me understand more about the sport that was first brought to my attention in Causing Havoc. The hero of this novel is Harley Handleman, who is an SBC fighter that we met in Simon Says, an extreme fighter who has an outlook on life as hard as his muscular body. Fate has dealt him a sucker punch—and a low blow, at that. First, there were his failed attempts at the title belt and then, Harley’s mother lost her fight with breast cancer, leaving him with no family but his trainer, Uncle Satch. The heroine of this novel is Anastasia Bradley who is Harley’s landlady for the cabin that he’s renting because he’s hoping that taking a break in the mountains seemed like a good idea. But his vacation isn’t nearly as restful as he expected because their verbal sparring keeps him on his toes, and the sensual sparks that fly between Harley and Anastasia would knock out a lesser man.
In this novel we get to see almost all of the wonderful characters from the first and second novel such as Dean, Eve, Cam, Roger, Jacki, Gregor, Dakota, Simon and Uncle Satch but we also meet some very intersting and wonderful new characters. Stasia and Harley are a very intriguing couple because they are very different from one another but they have this spark between them that is both physical and emotional that brings them together. It is so wonderful to read about how the characters from the first two novels in the series have deveolped and how they have become one big family with very dangerous things happening to them. There is a lot of excitement and suspense in this amazing novel and I learned about the SBC while reading this novel. I loved the characters because they all are so different but they don’t hold it against one another and it was wonderful to read about the amazing characters from the first and second book in this novel. I love this series and I will continue to read them because they are so good. Here is the description of all of the books in the series so far and pictures:
