Well I love the IN DEATH series because they are a romantic suspense books set in the future. It started in 2058 but it has progressed to 2060 as the books grew in numbers, and for your information there is 26 books in the IN DEATH series so far and the 27th book comes out in November. The author of this series J.D. Robb started publishing these books in 1995 and since then we now know that J.D. Robb is Nora Roberts. I love Nora Roberts because she is such a talented romance writer and I enjoy all the books that I have read by her. This novel is a three-in-one of anthologies that J.D. Robb wrote when she was writing all the books in the series. I love Lieutenant Eve Dallas and her sexy Irish Billionaire husband Roarke because they are complete opposites but they are the perfect couple with such interesting characteristics.
These three short stories are just little romantic suspense stories that happen in between the novels in the series. They give more insight to Eve and Roarke’s relationship and all the other important secondary characters that we know and love such as Detective Delia Peabody, Captian Ryan Feeney and Detective Ian MacNab. These are older stories that are at the beginning of the series but they are also very informing and exciting. I enjoyed reading them very much and I am very happy that I bought it because I never had a chance to read any of them when they came out in anthologies. Here is the description from the inside of her book and picture:
THREE IN DEATH $ 7.99 (355 Pages)
Interlude in Death
In early spring of 2059, Lieutenant Eve Dallas is called off planet to face a grueling ordeal-giving a seminar at the largest police conference of the year, to be held in a swanky resort. A resort which just happens to be owned by her husband, Roarke, of course. Even though Eve can’t quite see it that way, it’s supposed to be at least partly a vacation. But work intrudes in the form of a bloody homicide, and Eve is off and running. The case is complicated by Eve’s personal history with the victim-and by the killer’s history with Roarke. As danger closes in and the body count rises, Eve must find a way to stop the cycle of violence and revenge, and shove the past back where it belongs.

Midnight in Death

The number-one New York Times bestselling In Death series explodes with intrigue, passion, and suspense. Now, Nora Roberts, writing as J.D. Robb, propels you into the darkest night of Lieutenant Eve Dallas’s life—when a killer comes to call. Eve’s name has a made a Christmas list, but it’s not for being naughty or nice. It’s for putting a serial killer behind bars. Now the escaped madman has her in his sights. With her husband Roarke at her side, Eve must stop the man from exacting his bloody vengeance—or die trying…

Haunted in Death
Number Twelve is an urban legend in 2060 New York City. The hot club in the 1960s, it is now reported to be haunted…and cursed. Lieutenant Eve Dallas is called there to investigate the apparent murder of Radcliff Hopkins, its new owner and the grandson of the man who made Number Twelve a cultural icon. Several bullets from a banned gun end his dream of returning the building to its former glory. With everyone around her talking about the supernatural, pragmatic Eve won’t let rumors of ghosts distract her from hard evidence. The case becomes even more bizarre when it appears to be linked to the suspicious disappearance of a rock star eighty-five years ago. As Eve searches for the connection, logic clashes with the unexplainable. She may be forced to face the threat of something more dangerous than a flesh-and-blood killer.

One Response to Three in Death

  • I’ve been following the In Death series practically since it first came out and I really loved the first few books. But don’t you think its kind of losing steam? The latest books feels kind of stale … almost as if the cases are recycled or an amalgam of previous cases

I'm a part-time aspiring romance novelist, book reviewer and blogger. I've always wanted to travel the world and learn everything I can about other countries. Learning the Italian language is one way of trying to make that dream come true. Traveling will help me with my writing because I'll be learning about the history of the U.S., Latin America, England, Italy, and Ireland, the countries I find so fascinating while reading the romance genre. I read and review romance novels of almost every subgenre along with erotic romance, mystery, sci-fi/fantasy and young adult novels. You can find the reviews at my blogs, Talk About My Favorite Authors and Phoebe Jordan's Reviews. I’ve also started a live podcast show called TAMFA | Phoebe Jordan hosted on Blog Talk Radio. This show is dedicated to everything I love about romance and young adult novels. I love having romance and young adult authors live on my show to be interviewed and showcase their books. I plan to write contemporary romance, romantic suspense, erotic romance, paranormal romance and young adult when I get my writing career started with help from Keta. I'm not sure what genre I'll write to begin with since I love to read so many different romance genres.
