Well I love the IN DEATH series because they are a romantic suspense books set in the future. It started in 2058 but it has progressed to 2060 as the books grew in numbers, and for your information there is 25 books in the IN DEATH series so far and the 26th book comes out next month. The author of this series J.D. Robb started publishing these books in 1995 and since then we now know that J.D. Robb is Nora Roberts. I love Nora Roberts because she is such a talented romance writer and I enjoy all the books that I have read by her. Here is the description from the inside flaps of her book in the latest of her IN DEATH series as J.D. Robb:

Creation in Death by J.D. Robb $ 25.95 (Book 25)(337 pages)
The number-one New York Times-bestselling author of Innocent in Death and Born in Death delivers her explosive new novel. New York City, 2060: Lieutenant Eve Dallas never forgets a corpse. And her new case will resurrect the memories of women she couldn’t save—and the killers she couldn’t capture.

Eve has seen this crime scene before: the artfully arranged body of a young brunette, arms spread, palms up, body marked by the sign of prolonged and painful torture. Carved into her torso is the time it took her to die—in hours, minutes, and seconds. And on the third finger of her left hand has been placed a silver ring.

Eve is catapulted back to a case nine years earlier, when a man whom the media tagged “The Groom” put the city on edge with a killing spree that took the lives of four women in fifteen days. Eve and her partner Feeney, her friends and mentor, couldn’t stop him before he disappeared, only to resurface in other parts of the world to kill and kill again. But now The Groom seems to have come back to where he started.

When it turns out that The Groom most recent victim was employed by Eve’s billionaire husband, Roarke, she brings him onto the case. A move that proves fitting when it becomes chillingly clear that the killer has made it personal. The corpse was washed in products from a store Roarke owns and laid out on a sheet his company manufactures. With The Groom’s monstrous return, Eve is determined to finish him once and for all. Familiar with his methods, she knows that he has already grabbed his next victim.

But his sights are set on the biggest challenge of his illustrious career—an abduction that will test his skills and that promises to give him satisfaction as he’s never known. Time is running out on another woman’s life…and for Eve.

J.D. Robb has a new book come out next month on Tuesday, February 19. Here is the description of the book that I found at the Barnes and Noble website:
Stranger in Death by J.D. Robb $ 25.95 (Book 26)
Technology may be different in 2060 New York, yet the city is still a place of many cultures and great divides. And as ever, some murders receive more attention than others—especially those in which the victim is a prominent businessman, found in his Park Avenue apartment, tied to the bed—and strangled—with cords of black velvet.
It doesn’t surprise Lieutenant Eve Dallas that Thomas Anders’s scandalous death is a source of titillation and speculation for the public—and humiliation for his family. While everyone else in the city is talking about it, those close to Anders aren’t so anxious to do so. Fortunately, because Dallas’s billionaire husband, Roarke, happens to own the prime real estate where Anders’s sporting-goods firm was headquartered, she has some help with access. Before long, she’s knocking on doors—or barging through them—to look for the answers she needs.
But the facts don’t add up. Physical evidence suggests that the victim didn’t struggle. The security breach in the highly fortified apartment indicates that the killer was someone close to Anders, but everyone’s alibi checks out, from the wife who was off in the tropics to the loving nephew who stands to inherit millions. Was this a crime of passion—or a carefully planned execution? It’s up to Dallas to solve a sensational case where all involved guard secrets from one another—and strangers may be connected in unexpected, and deadly, ways.

One Response to IN DEATH Series

  • I am currently working my way through this series, and am about to read Interlude in Death which is one of the novellas. I really like that each book manages to be fresh and not repetitive or dull in any way.

I'm a part-time aspiring romance novelist, book reviewer and blogger. I've always wanted to travel the world and learn everything I can about other countries. Learning the Italian language is one way of trying to make that dream come true. Traveling will help me with my writing because I'll be learning about the history of the U.S., Latin America, England, Italy, and Ireland, the countries I find so fascinating while reading the romance genre. I read and review romance novels of almost every subgenre along with erotic romance, mystery, sci-fi/fantasy and young adult novels. You can find the reviews at my blogs, Talk About My Favorite Authors and Phoebe Jordan's Reviews. I’ve also started a live podcast show called TAMFA | Phoebe Jordan hosted on Blog Talk Radio. This show is dedicated to everything I love about romance and young adult novels. I love having romance and young adult authors live on my show to be interviewed and showcase their books. I plan to write contemporary romance, romantic suspense, erotic romance, paranormal romance and young adult when I get my writing career started with help from Keta. I'm not sure what genre I'll write to begin with since I love to read so many different romance genres.
