Today romance author Tamela Quijas is guest blogging about her current release here on the blog. She contacted me to review her lastest novel Angel’s Fire, Demon’s Blood as well as to set up an author interview and author guest blog. The interview between me and Tamela was posted on Monday, 12 and when I’ve finished Angel’s Fire, Demon’s Blood I will be posting the review soon. Now onto romance author Tamela Quijas’s guest blog about her current release.

How did I come up with the idea for Angel’s Fire, Demon’ Blood:

Lucien’s story was a concept that came to me from a music video. For those of you that hit my sites, you are aware that I am the mother and grandmother to 9 beautiful children. Four are teenagers. I am continuously bombarded with music videos!

One day, I was forced to watch a newly released song that my girls (there are 4 in total) were oohing and ahhing over. In the middle of the song, and the lovely graphics that were used on the video, the idea for Lucien hit me. I wrote the book in about 6 months, with constant urging by my girls.

Blurb of the novel:

Lucien D’ Angel is a celebrated paranormal detective with a lucrative television show and numerous bestselling books pertaining to the world that may exist beyond the human experience. He’s managed to keep the proverbial low profile over the decades and has purposely stayed out of the public eye, due to a secret that he harbors. His life was perfect. Low keyed, private (except for the television shows) and orderly. That was, until Evangeline Keegan enters his life and disrupts the perfect facade that he had erected over the centuries.

Despite all outward appearance, Lucien has been cursed for nearly four centuries, striving to maintain a some-what ‘normal’ existence in society. Due to the actions of his father, D’ Angel the Destroyer, he has been cursed with the sight. He sees the spirits of the damned and those left behind at every twist and turn and he has been reluctantly assigned to gather their lost souls. It is a torment that he has endured, lacking any form of human contact and successfully evading the attention of his demonic twin, Julian.

Julian is everything that Lucien is not and his goal is to destroy all that Lucien holds dear, never permitting the curse that has plagued them for so many centuries to end. Lucien has keep the secret of his identity well hidden behind a cool veneer of intelligence, but Eva soon learns that Lucien is a tortured and tormented soul who craves one thing that she will refuse to grant him. His own death.

Phoebe Jordan

I'm a part-time aspiring romance novelist, book reviewer and blogger. I've always wanted to travel the world and learn everything I can about other countries. Learning the Italian language is one way of trying to make that dream come true. Traveling will help me with my writing because I'll be learning about the history of the U.S., Latin America, England, Italy, and Ireland, the countries I find so fascinating while reading the romance genre. I read and review romance novels of almost every subgenre along with erotic romance, mystery, sci-fi/fantasy and young adult novels. You can find the reviews at my blogs, Talk About My Favorite Authors and Phoebe Jordan's Reviews. I’ve also started a live podcast show called TAMFA | Phoebe Jordan hosted on Blog Talk Radio. This show is dedicated to everything I love about romance and young adult novels. I love having romance and young adult authors live on my show to be interviewed and showcase their books. I plan to write contemporary romance, romantic suspense, erotic romance, paranormal romance and young adult when I get my writing career started with help from Keta. I'm not sure what genre I'll write to begin with since I love to read so many different romance genres.
